Nomads U18’s are through to the semi finals of the John Gardener Memorial Cup with a victory over Stalybridge Celtic.
The team went into the game with a very strong squad and due to playing Staybridge twice in the league so far this season felt confident of progressing through to the next round.
The home side took the lead on 20 minutes. a long ball causing problems for the Nomads back line. However, Nomads responded well with an equaliser from a corner, headed in by Sasha Asal.
Nomads lacked control of the game in the first half so Louis Quin was brought on at half time to to control the midfield.
Quinn made a positive impression and the visitors went on to score 2 further goals, from Dan Stevenson and a brilliant finish from Asa Knighton to put the game to bed.
