Today’s visitors to the Heath are Mossley from the Pitching in league.

Mossley have been regular visitors to the Heath and alway provide strong opposition. The game started at a very quick pace with the visitors on the front foot and Nomads relying on quick breaks. The pace of Max Lewens was causing the right full back some issues and he was unfortunate not to make more of his opportunities getting in behind.

The visitors took a deserved lead after a defensive error allowed the Mossley midfielder in behind and a simple ball across was swept home by the striker. He soon doubled his own and the clubs total with a free header from a corner. There was to be no more scoring in the first half and Mossley went in at half time with a deserved 2-0 lead

The second half started with Nomads on the front foot and Lewens once again providing opportunities for the home team but Kyle Foley and Wilf Riley were unable to finish. The half was more evenly contested initially but Mossley were having the better chances and hit the woodwork before they got their third goal thanks to composed finishing from the substitute striker.

Nomads tried to get something back from the game and were giving the visiting defence work to do but were unable to seriously threaten the goal and the game finished 3-0 to the visitors

Thanks to Mossley for the annual visit to the Proseal stadium and good luck for the season ahead. A really good club with good people involved and superb supporters who provided great entertainment before, during and after the game.
