Nomads reserves began their Cheshire league campaign against newly promoted Blacon Youth. Blacon were unbeaten in their last league season and started their 2021/22 season in the same fashion, leaving the Heath with a 4-1 victory. Manager Callum Davies gave us his thoughts after the game.

A slow start sees nomads go 1 down from a free kick, not dealing with the cross in from the box. After that nomads start to play there way into the game hitting the post from josh Macklin / Sam Deering and George Howarth. Around 30 mins into the game and Nomads win a penalty with Jordon taken down in the box. Worrall steps up and hits the outside of the post.

Blacon youth then go two up straight after. Unfortunate positioning from the referee prevented Macklin from getting to the ball first which gives us a huge blow at half time.

Second half and the game really doesn’t get going. Everything happening between the boxes with minimal chances created. Shipton missing a great opportunity from a cross was the best of the half for nomads.

3 late goals scored Lewis price getting the goal for nomads.

We move onto Tuesday playing Whalley Range (A)
