This was a game which left nomads wondering why they didn’t win the match.

A slow start from us didn’t help as we kept giving away the ball with misplaced passes around our own back line, fortunately for us however, Windle could not capitalise on it and we were able to correct it and grow into the game. We did manage to take the lead with George Howarth showing quality on the 38th minute mark with a ball in behind the back line which he rounded the keeper to score. This was an indication that we were beginning to assert ourselves in the game but possibly a bit unfair to the opponents who could have been a couple of goals ahead

Throughout the second half Nomads were the more dominant team and created several chances to improve the score line, however the Windle keeper was having an absolute worldy, a definite man of the Match performance. Nomads hit the post and missed too many 1v1 chances, and this was to prove costly as around the 70th minute mark Windle Labour show quality with a ball behind the nomads back line which the striker pinched before the keeper could get there rolling the ball into an empty net to level the game at 1-1

Despite having several opportunities, and the opposition reduced to 10 men around the 75 minute mark, we were unable to make the dominance count and could not add to the goal tally. In fact there were a couple of moments near the end when it could have been 3 points to Windle

Not the result we wanted but it’s the first point on the board in this seasons campaign, and we start to plan for the next game now where we hope to pick up all 3
