Tuesday night saw Nomads travel to Abbey Hey after no weekend game. Fallon named the same side that had played Ashville the week before.
Nomads started the game brightly and one of the best chances of the game fell to Danny Byrnes midway through the first half as he picked up the ball inside the 18-yard box but was only able to find the keeper’s hands.
In the 35th minute, Abbey Hey broke the deadlock through Jordyn Fitton who looped an effort from the edge of the box over the head of Morgan Piper who was left stranded. The goal had come against the run of play with Nomads having the far better chances and run of play. Just before half-time, Harrison Cunningham scored a cracking header into the corner of the net after a driven corner from Danny Byrnes. The sides went into the break level with plenty to play for in the second half.

Abbey Hey came out for the second half with a bit more panache and had stepped up the tempo. Nomads had though created a couple of openings when Sam Deering released Dass through on goal. His pace was causing Abbey Hey problems but he couldn’t add the finishing touches when through on goal. At this point Abbey Hey were having more possession so Fallon introduced a number of substitutes to freshen things up. Pociask replaced Deering and Lopes came on for Byrnes.
The game was ebbing and flowing then in the 70th minute Elliot Fenton scored at the back post after good work by Daryl Mason on the right-hand side to give the home side the lead.
Nomads were continuing to push for an equaliser and Fallon had brought on Sidibeh, Whalley and Blake. All subs gave Nomads fresh impetus and throughout the game, Nomads created lots of chances. Finally, in the dying stages of the game Pociask tapped in from a yard out after a low drive across the goal from Isaac Graham. Huge character to come back and get a point and on another night Nomads could have come away with all three.
