Two goals from Dan McLaughlin and one from Kyle Foley gave Nomads all 3 points away at Stockport Town. Nomads came from behind to record their first win of the new season after the home side took an early lead at the Stockport sports village.

Manager Jake Davies was keen to see his side continue to improve having collected the first point of the season on Saturday and will be very pleased that his young squad have now collected another 3 points after coming from behind for the second game in a row.

Fantastic to get the first win and we look forward to the first ever visit of the FC Isle of Man this weekend

Jake Davies was obviously pleased with the result and had this to say

After a very slow start by ourselves which is surprising given our recent performances, I am so pleased that we shown more of our missing qualities in recent matches.

Yesterday had everything, desire, belief, resilience, intensity and real quality in the defining moments of the game.

I thought our aggression and intensity off the ball was outstanding yesterday in the second half and we shown a great desire to get over the line and we fully deserved what we got from the game in the end.

We’ve worked really hard in training about being compact and narrow as a group, 2nd half we shown that well, limiting then to few and far between chances almost none of them being clear cut.

On the break we were frightening yesterday, clinical combination play to get us behind their back line and ruthless in front of goal, another tool for us to add to our tool box.

What pleased me most is how close we all were on the night, we were all together right until the end, on the pitch and off it. Our season is well and truely underway.
