Callum Davies’s reserves continued their unbeaten pre season with a comfortable 8-1 win over Manchester Premier league side Heyside last night. The game started off at a very good pace and was evenly contested in the early stages before the visitors opened the scoring in the 11th minute. The lead didn’t last long however as Nomads went straight up the other end and equalised through Jam Macklin. The home side then took the lead in the 20th minute when Jordon Worrall got his 1st of the evening just before a water break was taken on a very warm evening. Following this short break in play, Nomads began to impose themselves on the match and Worrall got another goal to send them into the break 3-1 up.

The second half continued with Nomads controlling the game and Worrall completed his hat trick in the 51st minute with a penalty kick. The striker wasn’t done there though as he quickly added a fourth for himself and 5th for the Nomads. As with any pre season game, substitutions were plentiful and the game went into a bit of a lull with the subs settling in and the sudden onset of a much needed rain shower before Nomads once again began to dominate the play. Goals for Daniel (DJ) Stevenson and 2 for Emmanuel Ujahchuku (one from the spot) would complete the scoring on the night as the reserves ran out comfortable 8-1 winners on the night.

Big thanks to Heyside for coming through and good luck to you for the season ahead. ⚽?
