Nomads began life in the Lancashire and Cheshire AFL, where we stayed until 1994 before stepping up to the Mid Cheshire League. We won the 2nd Division in our first season, then consolidated our place in the 1st Division until 2004, when we merged with Timperley-based Linotype FC.

Over the same period, there were marked improvements made to the playing surface and the facilities, with the addition of new changing rooms, the erection of a 50-seater stand and a significant spend on drainage improvements, floodlights, hard standing, new barriers and spectator toilets, all with a view to competing in the North West Counties League.
