It was a mixed weekend for our squads this remembrance weekend with the reserves losing in the Cheshire league, the first team drawing in the NWCFL and the under 18’s won away in the NWYA.

Saturday started badly as the reserves were beaten 6-2 away at Holmes Chapel. Following a good unbeaten run, the reserves have now had 2 heavy defeats in the Cheshire cup and the league, so will be looking to get back to winning ways next weekend when they travel to Maine Road reserves.

The first team were also looking to bounce back following a defeat away at Wythenshawe Amateurs last week but fell behind early on at home against Stafford Town before drawing level before half time. Despite dominating the second half however, the visitors held on to claim a point.

Sunday was the turn of the under 18’s as they travelled to Glossop North End in the NWYA and they returned the best result of the weekend with a 2-1 victory to claim the 3 points

So a mixed weekend results wise for the club, reports and managers thoughts will follow tomorrow.
